The shame of the church.

The personal preacher comments on the recent accusations to the priests and the church... cleverly the source is a letter of a jew, a friend. Suffering against suffering... what a shame what a disgust, 15 centuries of discrimination, hatred, pogroms, massacres and expulsions partly driven by the church itself are now compared with accusations of criminal behavior by priests. At the start of the first crusade 12.000, twelve thousand EUROPEAN jews were killed in Spira, Worms, Magonza and Colone. European Jews were killed in all following holy crusades. In 1180 the king of France expels all jews from the regiong under direct control of the crown. In 1290 Jews were expelled from England. In 1492 more than 100.000 Jews were expelled from Spain, by the catholic Ferdinando and Isabella. Hundreds of thousands were forced to convert, particularly in the regions of Castiglia and Aragona. All this hatred originated in the catholic church, in its policy and politics... all this was compared with the "suffering" of priests of accusation of pedophilia, partly based, partly robust. Behind the shocking disproportion of the comparison, the subtle message of this comparison is as well that there was a reason in the end for all the suffering of my people, a reason, a fault, a justification. If all jews suffered is because some indeed sucked the blood of peasants and used catholic children blood during Passover, and indeed killed the son of G-D. The personal preacher defends the church community from attacks that are based on real events of individual priests... it is this parallelism sutble, confusing, disgusting. The personal preacher compares the legal charges for criminal behavior and omerty, with the worst product of catholic doctrine during its first 15 centuries of existence, a product that killed, suppressed innocent people, just because unwilling to accept the catholic faith, but not exterminated paradoxically because their existence was part of the essence of the identification of the new faith. The message was delivered during the preparation for Passovver, during the holy friday... a day when the jews were humiliated and when fervent catholic faith across europe sparked into uttering violence against the "christ killers". I'm disgusted by this immoral arrogance, may G-D forgive your personal preacher...
